What is Day XX?
Inside the agency, there’s one thing you’ll keep seeing in decks, proposals, and internal conversations: Day XX.
It is not a trend or a catchy phrase. It’s simply how we understand time and progress. Instead of talking about calendar dates, we talk about real days since the agency began.
Because in advertising, context matters.
What is Day XX?
Day XX doesn’t reset per project.
Day XX is the continuous count of days since the agency was founded. A counter that started on day one and keeps moving forward, every single day.
It’s our internal timeline.
Every presentation, proposal, or quote is labeled with the Day XX it was created. That way, it’s always clear from which moment in the agency’s journey we’re speaking.
It’s not a project metric. It’s a trajectory metric.
Why don’t we use traditional dates?
Because dates tend to create more noise than clarity.
- They’re easy to forget
- They lose context over time
- They don’t reflect the real work behind the scenes
Day XX, on the other hand, says a lot with very little:
- It shows exactly where we are
- It works the same today or a year from now
- It helps compare processes, not just outcomes
How we use it day to day
Presentations
You’ll always see Day XX clearly stated.
That alone tells you more than any calendar date.
Proposals
Quoting an idea on Day 12 is very different from quoting it on Day 60.
As Day XX increases:
- More knowledge
- Less uncertainty
- Sharper decisions
Day XX helps explain why approaches evolve, scopes change, and budgets make sense.
Tracking progress
We don’t talk about “monthly reports.” We talk about real progress.
Questions we constantly ask:
- Does this make sense for this Day XX?
- What should we already know by now?
- Are we moving the way we should at this point?
What this approach gives us
Clarity
Everyone understands the moment we’re in—no long explanations needed.
Transparency
Time and experience are on the table. No decoration.
Process-first thinking
We care about results, but we care just as much about how we get there.
Better decisions
When you know exactly where you are, you decide better. Simple as that.
More than a metric, a mindset
Over time, Day XX stopped being just a number.
Today, it’s how we think about creative work:
- Ideas need time
- Learning is cumulative
- Strong strategies aren’t improvised
In short
Day XX helps us work with more perspective and less noise.
It doesn’t replace talent or experience, but it puts both in context.
Because in advertising, what matters isn’t the date on the slide, but how far we’ve come since we decided to start.
